Members of the National Association of Purchasing Management are recognized as world class professionals. ISM and its affiliates serve as Centers of Excellence in establishing and maintaining best in-class professional standards of competency and conduct for its members, and matters pertaining to research, education and certification.

NAPM-Wichita, Inc., is an affiliate of Institute of Supply Management (ISM). The Institute for Supply Management® association (formerly NAPM) exists to educate, develop, and advance the purchasing and supply management profession. Founded in 1915, as the National Association of Purchasing Agents (NAPA), and evolved in 1968 to the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM), and again in 2002 to become ISM, the largest, and most respected, supply management association in the world.

ISM's mission is to lead the supply management profession through its standards of excellence, research, promotional activities, and education. ISM's membership base includes more than 45,000 supply management professionals with a network of domestic and international affiliated associations.

ISM is a not-for-profit association that provides opportunities for the promotion of the profession and the expansion of professional skills and knowledge.
